A free digital seating chart, for your whole guest list
Digital seating charts have mostly replaced the escort card table: a QR code by the door, guests type their name, their phone shows their table. Most of the sites that make them work the same way on price too. They are free until your guest list passes a certain size, then you pay, per event. Events Planner does the same job and stays free however long your list is, at every event you plan.

What every digital seating chart does
The idea is the same wherever you go. A QR code goes where guests arrive, and it answers the question every guest asks at the door: where am I sitting? A guest scans it, types their name and sees their table on their phone, with no app and no password. And because the code points to a chart rather than printing it, you can move somebody after the sign has gone up.
Where they differ: the price
The usual model is a free tier with a ceiling on guests, then a payment for each event above it, and a subscription for planners who run several. It is reasonable for a small dinner and adds up for a wedding. Events Planner has no guest threshold and nothing to pay, whether the list is 40 people or 400. The only thing it asks for is a free account, and only once you want to share the chart - a guest's phone has to read it from somewhere.
Building the chart, not just sharing it
Here the guest lookup is the last step of a whole planner, not the whole product. Before it you get a floor plan drawn to scale, with the tables venues actually stock; a guest list imported straight from Excel or CSV; rules for the people who must sit together and the ones who must not; and automatic seating that keeps groups and families together. Guests can see their seat number and a map of the room with their table picked out, and you decide whether anybody else's name appears at all.
What you will not find here
Extras beyond the seating. Some paid sites add a photo gallery where guests upload their pictures from the day, or other keepsakes around the event. Events Planner has nothing like that. It does the seating chart, from the empty room to the guest at the door, and nothing else.
Moving a seating chart over
If your guest list is somewhere else already, export it as a spreadsheet and import it here. Events Planner reads Excel and CSV, lets you check which column is which before anything comes in, and keeps any tables your file already names. From there, set the tables, run the seating, and share the link and QR code from the chart.
